Tonight Chris Collins is on his way to East Riding County FA head office to complete the Football Association Welfare Officers Workshop. A member of Pro Coaching Academy has to hold this qualification to meet with the requirements for the grant from North Yorkshire Sport.

The course aims to identify what needs to be in place for a club to effectively safeguard and protect children. To also describe their roles and responsibilities and those of other designated persons in grassroots football and to act on reported concerns about poor practice and abuse within or outside football. Finally, to begin to prepare an action plan for their club.
