On Friday 30 December a group of Bootham U13 players travelled the long distance down to Kettering to take part in the Futsal Cup. They were represented by:

Poppy G (Captain), Lacey B, Molly G, Hattie F, Toni S, Mia M, Grace W, Martha P, Jessica W and Jess H.

The girls played 4 games of 20 minutes each. Here are the results:

They started well in all the games but ultimately the opposition were too strong and physical for the girls to match. They did play some good bits of futsal and in all the games had chances to score more goals.

Player Of The Tournament – Hattie F – she was one player that really did stand up to the opposition and let them know she wasn’t to be pushed around. She really does understand how to use her body to help win the ball and put the opposition on their back foot. Fantastic performance and well deserved.
