Bootham Ladies are looking to finish the year with a win in their away game against Warrington.

The game is being played at Cardinal Newman Catholic High School, Warrington with a 9.30am kick off.

Head Coach Chris said in conversation, ‘We have improved so much since the start of this year and it would be good to end it on a high. We know on our day we can beat Warrington and we must go with the belief that we can achieve this. I know their coach will be telling his team the same so it really is a wide open game.’

He went on to say, ‘We will be missing a few players again due to work and other commitments, so it’s not be our strongest squad that we take. It is frustrating not being able to pick the players I want, but we are still very new to this and I really do appreciate the amount of time, and travelling the players give to the club. We have a fantastic team spirit in the group and whatever the outcome I know they will all give it 100%.’

He finished by talking about the future, ‘We have seen some amazing performance from the younger players in the club, and I know they are all desperate to represent the ladies team in the national league. I have duty to these players to make sure we give them that opportunity and the all the coaches are working towards making this happen. If we can continue to develop these players, develop their knowledge and love of the game, the future is very bright for this club.’

If you can’t make it, why not post a good luck message to the ladies on social media, they really do appreciate your support!
