Lexi 100 GoalsFootball is a team game and everyone has to play their part to be successful, nobody can win a match on their own. However, there are times that individuals and their achievements need to recognised.

Alexia, or ‘Lexi’ as she prefers, is one such individual. Two seasons ago she managed to score a simply staggering 106 goals, an achievement that alone would warrant a mention. She was the top goal scorer in all the age groups in the City of York Girls’ Leagues.

We jokingly challenged and bet her she couldn’t do it again. How wrong were we! Last season, in the last match of the last tournament she managed to score her 99th,100th and 101st goal. She subsequently got two more at the FA National Youth Futsal Finals in Birmingham to finish the season on 103 goals.

After only two games this season she has already scored 10 goals, surely she can’t do it again?

She is a real talent and could go all the way in the female game. We are honoured that she chose to play for York Railway Institute and has come a long way from the shy girl who wouldn’t even get out of the car the first time she came to training. All the coaches at Pro Coaching Academy wish her the very best for the future and look forward to her pulling on her very first England shirt one day.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to her older brother Ben, who is always there supporting her and was the one who told us on that first training session ‘My sister’s brilliant!’

This post is even more special as today is Lexi’s 13th birthday, many happy returns from all at Pro Coaching Academy.
