With two weeks to go before the end of the school year, we had our penultimate session at Manor Futsal Club.

We started with a small shooting session in which the players needed to move the ball with the bottom of their foot before taking a first time shot at Abbi in goal.  This was to introduce the idea to the players of changing the angle of the pass before shooting.  It is not an easy technique but everyone gave it a really good go.  Top shooter went to Harley!

We finished the session with some 2 touch matches, in which the players were asked to try to move the ball about the court as quick as possible.  They could only score if they got the ball into the oppositions scoring zone.

We had some fantastic play with a couple of brilliant one and two touch passes before a great one touch ‘sweaty’ finish.  It is so exciting to watch the way the players have applied what we have taught them over the whole school year.

One more session to go, see you all next week for the mini tournament and end of year awards!

Girls’ player of the week – Phoebe – She has been away for several weeks on school related trips, but she came back this week and worked really hard.  Well done Bob!

Boys’ player of the week – James G – With big brother, Matt, helping us out, James really tried hard to out play him, and very nearly succeeded!  Well play James!
