On Saturday 1st October 2022 Bootham Ladies Futsal Club – York play their first game of the new FA Futsal Women’s Super Series North Tier 2 season, and best of all, they are playing at home!

The game is being played at St Peter’s School, York, with kick off at 3.00pm, and the club want you to be there to support the ladies! Doors open at 2.15pm with entry being a ‘whatever you can afford’ donation to the club.

Head Coach Chris said in conversation, ‘We have been waiting for this day for a long time, a chance to play in front of our home supporters. Last season was a great adventure, with some really harsh lessons being learnt on the way. But we have had a very good preseason, recruited some new exciting players, and have a couple of academy graduates ready to play their part this season. The ladies are buzzing, we just can’t wait. I would personally like to thank our sponsors, simply put, without them we wouldn’t be here.’

He went on to say, ‘Leicester are a new team to the league so we have no idea what to expect, but I’m sure they will give us a very hard game, and we take nothing for granted. Best of all I know our supporters will make their players feel very welcome and create a fantastic atmosphere for the game.’
