U10 Player of the Year – Clare

We love Clare, she is fantastic to coach, never stands still, never stops smiling and always happy to make a comment.  She has worked so hard all year and improved so much.  She is a bundle of energy from the moment she walks in the sports hall.  She likes nothing better than to run rings round the older girls, and show them how the game is really played.  Lots of potential and one we have high hopes of for the future.  Very well done Clare!

 

U12 Player of the Year – Holly

Once Holly starts running, she doesn’t stop for the whole session, she just keeps going and going!  All season she has been a delight to coach, fantastic attitude to learning and played brilliantly at the National Finals.  Her mom told us that she has seen Holly apply some of the futsal techniques we have taught her when playing for her grassroots team.  Brilliant first season, well done Holly!

 

U14 Player of the Year – Niamh

Niamh was not quiet sure about futsal at the start and nearly walked away from the game.  It is huge credit to her that she stuck at it and since Christmas has improved massively.  She was a fantastic captain in the Yorkshire Futsal Finals and on another day would have come away with a hat-trick.  She is definitely a player for the future and one we hope stays with us for years to come, great season and loads more to come.  Well done Niamh!

 

U16 Player of the Year – Chloe

When you talk about natural futsal players, Chloe is one of the very best.  What a talent, she has adapted her footballing game to futsal with such ease.  She looks so comfortable on the ball and does the simple things so very well, a pleasure to watch.  She never gives up, works amazingly hard in every session, even when she claims not to have any idea what is going on!  We really hope the England pathway for female futsal is developed soon, as Chloe is one we know would be selected.  What a season and what a player, well done Chloe!

 

Younger Player of the Year – Emily-Sue

Emily-Sue is such a lovely kid, she never ever stops smiling!  Every time you see her, she is smiling!  Another player who has hardly missed a session this season, and always works very hard to improve.  She was one of the youngest in her age group, and even played against some U14s in a friendly.  She never complains, just gets on with it and happy to give anything a go.  Great start to your futsal journey, well done Emily-Sue!

 

Older Player of the Year – Lily

In each session, there is always the one player who gives 110% in everything they do, never argues, just gets on with it and does it all with a smile – this is Lily.  She has been brilliant in everything we have done this season.  She played in every match we had, and never let the team down.  Yes, she makes mistakes, but it didn’t affect her game, she shrugged her shoulders and just got on with it.  She is absolute delight to coach and we are so proud of what she has accomplished this season.  Whatever she decided to do with her life, we have no doubt she will be successful.  Fantastic season, well done Lily!
