After a convincing win in their opening game, Bootham U14s faced Morley Futsal Club from Leeds in round two of the Junior Futsal Series. Could the girls continue their dominant performance and add to their already impressive goal tally?

The match was played over two 20-minute halves with a running clock, promising a fast-paced and exciting game from start to finish.

Bootham handed a debut to talented local girl Alexis D, so they were represented by Emily C, Imogen B, Jess H (C), Maisie M, Alexia D, Mollie C, Rusne V and Scarlett W (GK).

Player of the Week – Mollie – What an incredible performance from Mollie today! She showed exactly what a special talent she is, scoring some outstanding goals and leading by example on the court. Her ability to link play and move the ball quickly is improving every week, and when she drives forward with the ball she is simply unstoppable. Mollie’s confidence, creativity, and determination make her a joy to watch. It is no surprise that the ladies team are keeping a close eye on her progress. Brilliant work, Mollie, keep shining!

Coaches Comments: Coach Tyler said after the games, ‘What a brilliant effort from everyone today! The team really built on their last performance and played with fantastic energy, moving the ball around the court with speed, confidence, and purpose. The improvement was clear for all to see, and the finishing in front of goal was much more ruthless, which is exactly what we have been working toward.

A special mention to Alexis, who made her debut with us today. She settled in so well, growing stronger as the game went on and showing just how much talent she has. The team adapted brilliantly around her, and she is going to be a fantastic addition to this group.
