After the epic 8-8 cup draw against tier 1 Sunderland, Bootham Ladies host Derby, arguably the bookies favourites to win the Northern league this season.

The game will be played on Saturday 30 September at their new home of St John’s University Sports Hall on Haxby Road. It kicks off at 1.00pm with doors open from 12.30pm. Admission is £3 for adults and free for U18s and all Bootham Futsal Club academy players.

Coach Chris spoke to us on the eve of their second league game, he said, ‘After last week’s epic we have another very hard game with the visit of Derby. They are an extremely talent team with some outstanding players. We are pretty much at full strength, as we have Ruby and Natascha making their league debuts, and Allegra will play in goal. If we can repeat the desire and attitude from last week, we have every chance of winning the game, but we know if won’t be easy. The one thing we can always guarantee is goals, so why not come down to St John’s University on Haxby Road and support the ladies.’
