Well, who would have thought it… we’re starting our TENTH season! What an amazing time we’ve had over the years… but more on that later! 😂

We finally welcomed the players back after what seemed like months and months away, and the priority was simple — get them playing again! There were a few conditions, of course, but seeing everyone back on the court, enjoying themselves and getting stuck into the games was fantastic.

We also had four girls join us on trial, so a huge welcome to you all! We really hope you enjoyed it as much as we did, and we genuinely hope to see you back very soon! 💙⚽

The matches, all just six minutes long, came thick and fast, and we saw some fantastic play considering how long everyone had been away. There were some great goals, brilliant teamwork and plenty of positive signs.

If this is how we’re starting the season, I honestly cannot wait to see where we end up! 🔥

1st Hour – Charlotte C

We welcomed Charlotte back for her second season, and she’s come back even better than when she left! One of the youngest players in the club, but boy, she’s certainly one of the absolute best! Her confidence, ability and attitude have really stepped up, and she’s already showing just how much she has developed. Keep going, Charlotte — this could be a very exciting season for you! 🔥

2nd Hour – Eady M

Eady’s decision-making has massively improved over the summer, and it really showed! She made some brilliant decisions about when to pass and when to drive forward with the ball, showing great confidence and awareness. This is exactly the kind of development we love to see! Fantastic start, Eady — keep pushing, because this could be a BIG season for you! 🔥⚽

3rd Hour – Mollie C

We finished last season with me being told I wasn’t exactly Mollie’s favourite person, especially after her player review! 😂 So, she definitely had a point to prove — and if this is how she’s going to do it, we’re in for one amazing season! Coaches love it when players respond, and Mollie has done exactly that. Fantastic start, Mollie — I honestly can’t wait to see where this takes you! 🔥⚽

For the past ten years, I have had the incredible privilege of running a girls’ futsal club and watching it grow from strength to strength. What started as a passion for the game has developed into so much more than just futsal. It has become a place where girls can come together, challenge themselves, build confidence, make lifelong friendships and, most importantly, have fun.

Over the last decade, I have seen so many players walk through the doors as nervous beginners and leave as confident, determined young women who believe in themselves. We have celebrated wins, battled through tough games, travelled, laughed, supported one another and created countless memories along the way. There have been plenty of challenges, but every challenge has made the club stronger and more determined to keep pushing forward.

I am incredibly proud of everything the club has achieved over the last ten years and, most importantly, proud of the girls who have been part of the journey. Seeing them grow, develop and fall in love with futsal has made every training session, match and late night worth it. Here’s to ten years of girls’ futsal, friendship, teamwork and creating opportunities — and hopefully many more exciting years still to come!
