After their amazing performance against tier 1 Hertfordshire Vipers in the last round, Bootham Ladies entertain tier 2 south Cambridge Futsal Club in the semi-final of the National Futsal Series Plate. The game is being played on Saturday 9 March at St John’s University Sports Hall on Haxby Road, with kick off at 6pm and another big crowd is expected! As an extra incentive to come and support the ladies, the first 30 paying adults will get a free scratch card! It could be a win-win kind of day…

A nervous coach Chris spoke to us earlier in the week, ‘At the start of the season we never thought we could reach a national cup semi-final, yet here we are. The season has been very mixed, with some outstanding performances and some well below what we as a team expect. That said, we can put all that behind us and hopefully finish the season with a final. We know very little about Cambridge, but we will not take them lightly, and we will show them every respect. If we can perform like we did against Hertfordshire, then we have every chance of reach our first ever cup final, and that is something the whole club wants to do! It is a cup game so anything can happen, we just need that little bit of luck!’
