As excitement builds ahead of the U15 squad’s departure at the end of the month, we are delighted to reveal the names of their opponents in the upcoming international tournament in Italy.

This promises to be a fantastic opportunity for the girls to test themselves against high-quality opposition from across Europe, and to showcase everything they have been working hard on in training.

With the support of the senior players and their coaches behind them, the U15s are more determined than ever to make the most of this incredible experience.

Bootham have been drawn in group A, where they will play

Bloomsbury Gold (England)	Bootham Futsal Club (England)	Montesilvano FC (Italy)	Midland GS (Italy)

Group B includes the following teams:

Australian Futsal Federation	Bloomsbury Purple (England)	Sporting Club Marconi (Italy)	Tolna-Mozs (Hungray)

The girls begin their first-ever international campaign on Sunday, 29 June, with a highly anticipated match against Bloomsbury Gold, a fixture already being dubbed the Battle of Britain!
Next up, on Monday, 30 June, they take on Italian side Midland, before completing their league fixtures on Tuesday, 1 July, against hometown club Montesilvano.

What happens next in the competition will depend on the results of these matches, so every game counts!

Coach Chris shared his thoughts ahead of the tournament, “It is exciting to play against teams we have never met before, especially those from different countries. It will be a great opportunity to gain insight into how they play, their formations, tactics, and overall approach. I’ve been led to believe that futsal is a much more physical game in Europe, so we shall see!”

He added, “The whole trip will be an amazing experience for the players, coaches, and supporters. We have no expectations of the group, especially considering they will be one of the youngest teams in the competition. What we do know is that they’ll give it everything they’ve got, and hopefully, we’ll have a few goals to celebrate!”
