Huge thank you to Daisy and Lena who played for the U14s as they were short of players due to illness. Both were fantastic and a real credit to themselves and the club.

Player of the Week – U12s – The Whole Team – there was no way we could have picked one player from this team today. Every single player scored today, which shows how well they worked as a team. They were amazing and played some simply stunning futsal, the passing and the trust they have in each other is just so good to watch. I hope we can keep this group together as they are just getting better and better each time we see them!
Player of the Week – U14s – Bonnie-Shay that was her best games in a Bootham shirt. Her movement and physicality were as good as anyone today and she scored a fab goal to top it all off, well played Bonnie-Shay, keep up this very good work!
Player of the Week – U15s – Lacey B she has always been one of the best players in her age group and today she showed us once again why. She can see a pass, tackle and finish as good as anyone in her age group. We hope we can keep her playing futsal as she will definitely be one the ladies would want!
Coach’s Comment – Another fab day with our academy players at the West Riding Girls Futsal League. The U12s are such a fantastic group of girls both to coach and to watch. Some of the passing and movement today was breathtaking. I love the way they trust each other with the ball, happy to pass and receive all over the court. One of the goals today was sublime, the passing and the finishing from Naomi was stunning. They need a couple of results to go their way but after 6 games unbeaten they still have half a chance of winning the title! I am very proud of the U14s, they have been playing up against two very strong U15 sides and have never once given up. Not one of them has complained, they just get their heads down and get on with it, and in every game they have caused the oppositions problems. Well played girls! The U15s are getting better with more game time. They are still prone to individual mistakes but again some of their play is as good as anything we have seen this season, great to watch.
Huge thank you to John and Connor for sorting this out. We can see how much our girls, especially the new group of U12s have improved so much by playing competitive games on a regular basis. Let’s hope we can get more teams involved and more age groups next year!
