Bootham Ladies Futsal Club – York are delighted to announce the signing of Nikki Brown for the remainder of the 2022-23 season. Nikki is currently York City Ladies Football captain. She has already played a behind doors friendly for Bootham in which she grabbed two goals, and from her smiles she thoroughly enjoyed the game.

Head Coach Chris said in conversation, ‘This is a fantastic signing for us, she is a player I admire and know a lot about. Nikki is a natural leader and will provide the experience on court we are at times lacking, she is also someone the younger players can really look up to. Her playing time will be based around her current commitment to York City Ladies and we respect that. That said, I would love to play her in every match!’

He went on to say, ‘This is a real statement of intent about where the club is at. Not many female players in the UK are familiar with futsal but to get Nikki to sign, a player with a fantastic football pedigree, shows so much about the sport and the ambitions this club has.’

He finished by saying, ‘We still have a few players to talk to and, who knows, in the next few days we might have a couple more announcements to make…watch this space!’
