After the evenings matches, we spoke to Coach Chris, who was full of praise for his young side, he said, ‘I really enjoyed tonight. The University have a good side, and they played some very good futsal, which I expect with Joe as their coach. I am so proud of the academy players who wore the lady’s shirt for the first time tonight, there were so many more positives than negatives. They worked hard in and out of possession and caused the University team lots of problems. I was especially pleased with the level of physicality the team showed, not easy when you are playing against older players.’

He finished by saying, ‘You will never improve unless you play against strong, and more experienced players, and this exactly what the university provided. We need to keep exposing the players to these types of challenges and seeing how they respond. It is so pleasing to say today the players respond in the best possible way and it really makes me smile that the future of our club is in such safe hands.’
