On Sunday, March 8, Bootham hosted Brayton Belles U11s for a series of friendly matches at St. Peter’s School, York. The teams played three 20-minute games, and one 10 minute game with a continuous clock in use.

Following their significant progress in the West Riding Girls Futsal League, it was a fantastic opportunity for the Bootham girls to showcase their development in a home fixture this season.

Bootham were represented by:

Izzy S, Naomi L, Eady M, Lotti H, Amelia H, Maja G, Tyler G (GK), Lily N (Captain), Isabella S and Emily W.

Bootham’s Player of the Day, as chosen by Coach Tyler, was Lily N. She showed incredible determination, never backing out of a tackle and giving her all across the court. On top of her relentless effort, she netted two fantastic goals and came close to adding more. Safe to say, she had an outstanding morning!
