After we announced the new signings recently, and we still have one more to come, watch this space, we realised that several players had joined since last season that our supporters might not know! So over the next few weeks we will introduce you to a few of these exciting new players.

First up – Charlotte Broad

She started playing football at age 5 and ended up at Leicester City Girls’ Centre of Excellence. From there she moved to Nottingham Trent University and played for Notts County Ladies Reserves in the WSL Reserve League. At university is where she first encountered futsal and played regularly in the university BUCS competitions. She moved on to represent Nottingham Forest in FAWNL, Norwich City Ladies during a university placement and finally Loughborough Lightning. She went back to university to study a MRes and played again for Nottingham Forest before moving to Harrogate and signing for Harrogate Town. She joined Bootham Ladies Futsal Club late last year and has now become one of the top players at the club.

Coach Chris said in conversation about Charlotte, ‘She is such a good player, one we are very lucky to have at the club. From the first training session we knew she would be a fantastic addition to our squad. Since then she has really stamped her authority on pretty every game she has played and scored some amazing goals, and is one of the first names on the team sheet for each game. I know she took a few weeks to get used to futsal again but now she has settled and is learning the game, I am very exciting to see what she can do.’
