Bootham Futsal Club are delighted to announce that, following the latest round of trials, two more Bootham players have joined the England Futsal Development pathway.

Elena has been selected for the U17s Development Squad, while Hannah has earned her place in the U19 Development Squad. Hattie also has a further trial as she looks to secure her place in the U17s squad, and everyone at Bootham wishes her the very best of luck.

Elena joined the club this season and has already made a huge impression, both within the academy and the ladies team. Currently playing with Leeds United, Elena is an exceptionally talented player with outstanding technical ability, great feet, and an incredible work rate. The ladies team are hoping to welcome her officially when she turns 16 next season.

Hannah has been part of the Bootham family since 2021, progressing through the academy age groups and developing into a fantastic player and leader. She was a driving force during Italy 2025 and made her ladies team debut in 2026. A natural leader with an excellent understanding of the game and an exceptional engine, Hannah will now join the ladies team full-time. We know she will make a huge impact this season as part of what will be an exciting young squad.

Hannah joins the following Bootham players already representing the club across the England Development squads at U17s, U19s and the newly launched U23s levels, alongside former Bootham players Ruby Shaw and Ava Worthy.

Chairman Chris said: “We are delighted for Elena and Hannah. It really does show that hard work is rewarded, and we wish them both the very best of luck on their England journey.

I know Hattie will give everything in her upcoming trial, and fingers crossed she is also selected. What this highlights is that the way we are coaching our young players, introducing them to the game, and nurturing their talent is working. The future of the club is definitely in safe hands.”

Everyone at Bootham Futsal Club would like to congratulate Elena and Hannah on this fantastic achievement and wish them every success as they continue their England Development journeys.
