In front of more than 1,000 players, coaches, and parents, the girls proudly walked onto the main stage to collect their well-earned 3rd-place trophy. It was a moment that perfectly reflected everything they had achieved during an unforgettable week in Italy.

From the very first game, this incredible group showed determination, resilience, and togetherness. Despite being a squad with a mixture of ages, they competed fearlessly against some outstanding opposition, losing just one game all tournament—and that was against the eventual champions. Remarkably, they also kept two clean sheets, an achievement that is almost unheard of in futsal and a testament to their hard work, discipline, and team spirit.

But this trip was about so much more than results. It was about creating memories that will last a lifetime, building friendships, representing the club with pride, and experiencing something truly special together. Every player played their part in a journey that none of them will ever forget.

As the tournament came to an end, there was a real sense of pride among the parents and coaches who had watched these girls grow in confidence and character throughout the week. Seeing them stand on that stage, smiling as they received their medals and trophy, made every early morning, every training session, and every mile travelled worthwhile.

The Italy adventure may be over, but the memories, stories, and experiences will stay with these players forever. They leave not only as a team that finished 3rd in an international tournament, but as a group that represented themselves, their families, and their club with immense pride.

Will we return next year? Maybe. A trip like this takes an enormous amount of planning, commitment, and support from so many people behind the scenes. For now, though, let’s simply enjoy this moment, celebrate an incredible achievement, and allow these fantastic young players to enjoy the spotlight they have worked so hard to earn.
