As tradition dictates, we finished the first block of the new season with a session full of games. We use this for the girls to show us what they have learnt over the previous 6 weeks.

The young ones started with a game of Futsal Bulldog, and boy did it get competitive – we think a few personal duals were settle today!! The games were fast and furious with some fantastic futsal on show. They have really got to grips with keeping the ball in play, working back to recover and shooting when the opportunity comes. We have high hopes for these two age groups and next years FA Futsal qualifiers will show what stage they are at!

The second group also started with Futsal Bulldog and all we can say is, as coaches, we were glad we were watching – it did get a bit rough! We split the girls into 3 teams and play 5 minute game of 4v4. The workmate and futsal on show was brilliant, some amazing goals and even better tackling, great to watch!

Don’t forget we have a game for the U14s at the University of York on Sunday 3rd November from 3.30pm against Thornaby Town. After we have finished, all players and families are invited to stay and watch York Futsal play in their National League game against Birmingham. Please come along and support futsal in York.

Thank you for to all the players and parents for their amazing support over the last 7 weeks. It has been overwhelming to see how well all the new players have fitted in with the regulars, and also how players who have moved age groups have been made to feel so welcome and supported. We can’t wait for the next block of sessions, see you all on the 10th November!
