After a sensational start to the new season Bootham Ladies’ Futsal Club – York take on Project Futsal Liverpool Women on Saturday 29 October 2022.

The game is again being played at St Peter’s School, York, with kick off at 3.00pm, and the club want you to be there to support the ladies! Doors open at 2.15pm with entry being a ‘whatever you can afford’ donation to the club.

Head Coach Chris said in conversation, ‘We started the season with a fantastic win, and now we have to back it up with another good performance against Liverpool. They are a fantastic side, having come down from Tier 1 last season, so we know it will be a huge step up. Looking at their squad it seems they have retained most of their Tier 1 players, so we know it is going to be very hard. We definitely start the game as underdogs.’

He went on to say, ‘We can’t worry about the opposition, we have to concentrate on our own game. As we showed against Leicester, we have lots of players that can hurt the opposition. Defensively we look strong, so who knows, we may surprise a few teams this season.’
