Bootham Girls’ & Ladies’ Futsal Club – York has always encouraged its members to give something back to the club. We will especially support any females who want to gain their coaches badges in football and futsal. Recently, U14 Erin asked if she could start to help with the younger members of the club, we of course jumped at the chance!

Erin has been a member since 2021 and has already gained her bronze medal with the club. She recently made her debut for the ladies’ team in a friendly against the University of York, and has already completed the FA Playmaker, Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses and is desperate to do more!

Coach Chris said in conversation, ‘Erin is a shining example of why we must encourage females to coach females. Not only is she a talented futsal player, but the way she speaks and encourages the younger players is just brilliant to watch. The club has already pledged to support Erin through all her coaching courses in the future and we can’t wait to see where this takes her.’
