Player of the Day was Poppy as chosen by Coach Tyler – As a new player to the club, she showed the huge potential she has and really grew into the games as the day went on. The longer the matches went on, the more confident and influential she became. She worked incredibly hard both with and without the ball, and topped off her performance with a well-deserved goal. Top job, Poppy!

Coaches Comments: The girls played a number of strong games today against tough opposition, and it was a really valuable learning experience for everyone involved. They showed great effort and resilience throughout, and we were able to take a lot from the matches. In particular, we focused on two key futsal principles: applying consistent pressure on the ball and improving movement off it. There were some great moments where these were evident, and also clear opportunities for us to keep developing. We’ll continue to work hard on these areas in training over the coming weeks so that we’re even better prepared and more confident going into our next games in Leeds.
