As this was the last session of the school year, in usual Pro Coaching fashion, it was the much anticipated tournament.  We split the players into three teams, and due to some absentees Coach Chris had to play to make up the numbers!

The teams were:

Team Yellow: Archie, Tom S, Joshua and Oli.

Team Orange: Joe, Max, Tom M and Bailey

Team Blue: Coach Chris, Eddie, Grace and one player from another team!

As Team Blue were one player down we ‘borrowed’ a different player from the team not playing in each game.  The first round of games finished as follows:

Team Orange 3 – 1 Team Yellow

Team Orange 2 – 3 Team Blue

Team Yellow 1 – 3 Team Blue

So Team Blue looked like the team to beat with two wins out of two.  The second round of games finished as follows:

Team Orange 5 – 0 Team Yellow

Team Orange 1 – 4 Team Blue

Team Yellow 2 – 0 Team Blue

So the table finished with:

Team Blue: W3 L1 D0 F10 A6

Team Orange: W2 L2 D0 F11 A8

Team Yellow: W1 L3 D0 F4 A11

So Team Blue ran out winners but the matches were a lot closer than some of the scores suggest.  Each player was awarded a futsal medal in recognition of all their hard work this year.

Coach Chris said after ‘We have really enjoyed the sessions and the standard of play has been very high throughout.  We have been in discussions with the school and hope to be back at some point next year, watch this space!’
