We finished the year with the much anticipated mini tournament.  So in Week 33 we divided the players up into teams of 3 with one of the coaches as the team captain.

THE GIRLS

The teams for the girls were as follows:

Chris’s Superstars – Coach Chris, Katie S and Katie S.  We also had a guess appearance from Beth F in one game!

Suzy’s Angels – Coach Suzy, Ruby, Zoe and Rachel.

Simon’s Techys – Mr Foster, Kim, Melody and Beth S.

Each team played each other twice in a 6 minute game, with normal futsal rules.

After some pretty amazing matches the results were as follows:

Round One

Suzy’s Angels 2 – Simon’s Techys 2

Chris’s Superstars 0 – Simon’s Techys 1

Suzy’s Angels 1 – Chris’s Superstars 2

Round Two

Suzy’s Angels 3 – Simon’s Techys 0

Chris’s Superstars 3 – Simon’s Techys 1

Suzy’s Angels 1 – Chris’s Superstars 2

So the final table was Chris finished top with 3 wins and 1 defeat, Suzy finished second with 1 win, 1 draw and 2 defeats, and bringing up the rear was Simon with 1 win, 1 draw and 2 defeats, due to scoring less goals than Suzy’s Angels.

Champions again, and for the third time of the Manor CE Academy Girls’ Futsal Tournament was Chris’s Superstars!

 

THE BOYS

The teams for the boys were as follows:

Chris’s Superstars – Coach Chris, Joel, Luke and Kim.

Suzy’s Angels – Coach Suzy, Oli, Sam and Katie S.

Simon’s Techys – Mr Foster, Noah, Bailey and Ruby.

We played the full width of the sports hall but only 3/4 of the length, and each game was 6 minutes.

The games were fast and furious with some great play from all teams.  The results were as follows:

The final table was Chris finished top with 3 wins and 1 defeat, Simon finished second with 2 win, 1 draw and 1 defeat, and bringing up the rear was Suzy with 1 draw and 3 defeats.

As this was the last session of the school year each player was awarded with a futsal medal in recognition of all their hard work this year.
