Pass On Your Passion, Coach Suzy Nominated
In 2017, North Yorkshire Sport are championing the Pass On Your Passion campaign taking place across the whole of the North of England, to celebrate the hard work of inspirational female coaches in sport, and encourage the next generation to get involved.
Did you know that:
• Just 30% of coaches are women
• Only 17% of qualified coaches are women
• 30% of clubs can’t find enough coaches to fulfil demand
Pro Coaching Academy where delighted to hear that Coach Suzy had been nominated by someone, thank you, as an outstanding female coach throughout North Yorkshire. She received her baton in the post and we caught up with her for a quick chat at the York Railway Institute Girls’ Tournament, where she was supporting her Rawcliffe U14 Girls’ football side.
She said, ‘I am honoured to have been nominated, it means the world to me. I coach because I enjoy passing on my passion to others. Sport is a great way to stay heathy, make new friends and challenge yourself to achieve something new, all while having fun. If I can inspire just one person to have a go at coaching, it has all been worth while.’
Everyone at Pro Coaching Academy would like to wish Coach Suzy much success in her volleyball, kick boxing, cycling, futsal and football career!
