Following last Saturdays much improved performance, Bootham Ladies’ Futsal Club – York travel to the home of the Football Association and the only custom build futsal arena in the UK, St Georges Park, on Saturday 19 November to face Derby Womens Futsal.

The game kicks off at 4.55pm and the whole squad just can’t wait!

Head Coach Chris said in conversation, ‘When we were originally asked by the league if we wanted to play at St Georges Park, we honestly couldn’t believe it. I was fortunate to study my UEFA B Futsal course there and had many visits over a two year period, but to play and manage is something the players and I will not forget in a hurry.’

He went on to say, ‘We looked better at Sunderland and for a lot of the game it was a lot closer than the scoreline shows. We have to learn to finish our play – to shoot and/or put the ball dead, that way stop the quick counter attacks and silly goals. I know the ladies will really want to put on a show whilst playing at St Georges and who knows, with that little bit of luck, we may well get the result we want.’
