The games keep coming thick and fast for Bootham Ladies and they have their stiffest test on Saturday when Bolton visit York. Currently unbeaten and top of Tier 1 this season, and with a side packed with quality players Bolton will be a real test of where Bootham are in the short futsal journey.

The game will be played on Saturday 11 November at their home of St John’s University Sports Hall on Haxby Road. It kicks off at 1.00pm with doors open from 12.30pm. Admission is £3 for adults and free for U18s and all Bootham Futsal Club academy players.

After Monday night training an excited Coach Chris spoke to us about the upcoming game, ‘The whole squad have been waiting for this since the cup draw was made. This is our 3rd round FA Cup Day, playing the best team in the country on our home court, it couldn’t get any better! Their side is packed with quality players like Kirstie Kural, Laura Tobin and arguably the best goalkeeper in the England Joy Lowe. All we can do is work our socks off, never stop running and do everything we can do to stamp our mark on the game. They are unbeaten this season and just smashed 17 goals past Sunderland, a fellow Tier 1 side, so their confidence is sky high now.’

He finished by saying, ‘We should be at full strength with a full squad to choose from, so if you want to watch top quality futsal in York, this is the game to come and watch. We need our home supporters to come out in force and roar the lady’s home. We are not expected to win, but who knows, we may surprise a few people…’
